Senior Finance Manager
NASCO MIDDLE EAST, United Arab Emirates

 

Responsibilities: Supports the yearly budgeting process and provides the financial framework and guidelines for the entities - Supports the Pole CEO in business review sessions and ensures the accuracy of data and reports - Identifies and analyzes variances vs. budget - Manages the external audit of the insurance broking entities in coordination with the Group Finance function, and ensures timely action on recommendations and findings - Assists entities in the monthly and quarterly closing process - Controls and issues monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for all insurance brooking entities - Works with Group Finance on cash management of all insurance broking entities - Works with Group Finance and the IT team to enhance finance systems and processes.

Requirements: Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent. MBA is a plus - Professional certification (CMA, CPA, CFA, CIMA….) - Have at least 10 years of experience in finance out of which a minimum of 3 years is a similar role preferably within the insurance or banking/financial industry - Proven ability to lead the financial planning and budgeting across different entities - Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization - Fluency in English. Arabic and French are a plus.

Reinsurance Officer

Responsibilities: Control policies in line with treaties requirements (capacity, rates, conditions) - Monitor treaty accumulation of risks and send related recommendations to the Underwriting department in line with nature of risk and treaty capacity - Perform reinsurance distribution of policies and claims after controls corrections (treaty and facultative) - Coordinate with the Accounting department for tracking securities on treaty and facultative policies and claims, ensuring proper reporting is done in compliance with regulatory requirements.


Requirements: Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Actuarial, Business Administration, or equivalent - 3 years of relevant experience - Good communication, organizational and analytical skills - Proficiency in MS Office, specifically advanced MS Excel skills.

Responsibilities: Developing new user-facing features using React.js - Developing back-end APIs for micro-services build using NodeJS and ExpressJS - Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use - Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code - Design and implement all layers of a web application - Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical requirements - Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers - Building back-end solutions to communicate with front-end components and improve/maintain existing server-side solutions.


Requirements: Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model - Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles - Experience with popular React.js workflows - Strong experience in NodeJS and ExpressJS - Strong knowledge in RESTful APIs - Strong experience in micro-service architecture - Experience in designing relational and NoSQL databases - Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token - Experience in with modern build pipelines and DevOps - Familiarity with Git - Very good communication skills - Experience in identity servers, business process managers, and document management systems is a plus.
