Head of General Insurance

Responsibilities: Lead and manage the General Insurance department, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring smooth execution of all functions - Develop and execute the strategy for the General Insurance portfolio, including managing new business acquisition and renewals. This includes gathering information, conducting market analysis, preparing quotations, comparing options, and making recommendations to clients - Manage the renewal process for the existing portfolio, including planning and coordinating with clients to ensure successful renewals - Analyze clients' insurance needs and provide tailored solutions across all lines of business, offering expert guidance on coverage options - Provide technical support to the sales team on underwriting matters, helping to facilitate business development and ensure compliance with underwriting standards - Foster and maintain strong relationships with insurance companies, working collaboratively to ensure the best outcomes for the clients.


Requirements: Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent field - Minimum of 10 years of experience in General Insurance Underwriting - Profound understanding of General Insurance products, underwriting principles, claims management, risk assessment, and regulatory requirements - Strong analytical and communication skills.

Senior Claims Officer

Responsibilities: Oversee the end-to-end claims process, ensuring timely and accurate settlement of both Marine & Non-Marine claims - Conduct thorough claims analysis, including reviewing documentation, assessing damages, and determining liability - Investigate and evaluate complex claims, escalating issues when necessary to ensure fair outcomes - Ensure the delivery of high-quality service to ceding companies and reinsurers by maintaining clear communication, timely updates, and addressing any concerns to maintain strong relationships - Work with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., ceding companies, adjusters, reinsurers) to facilitate smooth claims processing - Contribute to the development of claims management processes and continuous improvement initiatives within the department - Lead and manage a team of claims professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance, professional development, and a collaborative team environment.


Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business Administration, or a related field - Professional certifications in insurance are preferred - Minimum of 10 years of experience in reinsurance claims management - Proven expertise in investigating and evaluating complex claims - In-depth knowledge of Marine and Non-Marine insurance policies and regulatory requirements - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate issues and offer practical solutions - Experience in mentoring and leading a team of junior claims staff.
